The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) and the International Initiative on Thrombosis and Cancer (ITAC-CME) announce new educational modules entitled Moving the Needle: Cancer-Associated Thrombosis.
The educational platform is addressed to specialist physicians and nurses involved in caring for patients with cancer who are at risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) or with established VTE, including central venous catheter-related thrombosis (CRT).
The series includes three distinct modules:
-
- Module 1 – Primary Prophylaxis
- Module 2 – Non-CRT VTE
- Module 3 – CRT VTE
Join Dominique Farge-Bancel, M.D., Jean M. Connors, M.D., and James Douketis, M.D., as they provide education to hematologists and oncologists to support guideline-recommended care of patients with cancer, specifically related to appropriate VTE prophylaxis and patient-centered, individualized VTE treatment.
